Bio Dra. Erin Bradner, Autodesk

Researches the future of computing for Autodesk Inc., makers of 3D design, engineering and entertainment software. The work of Autodesk’s 3D software customers is everywhere: from the visual effects in the movie Avatar, to the world’s first building that creates more energy than it consumes, to 3D printed artificial legs that look more like artwork than prosthetics. Erin has a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction and 15 years of experience designing new software interfaces. She has collected data from architects designing skyscrapers, children programming gravity engines on the XBOX, and engineers planning emergency landings for the space shuttle. Erin volunteers weekly in her daughter’s elementary school classroom as a reading and math coach. She can also be spotted on campus in a white lab coat conducting science experiments.
